The Journal is devoted to conceptual and methodological problems of studying power and elites, as well as issues of evolution and functioning of power groups in Russia and other countries, transformation of power structures and practices of dominant groups. Special attention is paid to comparative studies of elites and on the mutual influence of elite groups and civil society.
Journal’s goals:
To promote the development of sociological and political science knowledge about power, elites and their interaction with civil society.
To present on its pages the results of theoretical and empirical studies of power and power groups in Russia and abroad.
To serve as a platform for open academic discussion on issues of political sociology and elite studies.
To promote the intensification of scientific interaction and cooperation, thereby consolidating scientific forces in the field of sociology of power, power groups and political science, as well as the institutionalization of elitology as an academic discipline.
The journal is intended for the professional and academic community, as well as for graduate and undergraduate students, decision-makers in the political and administrative spheres and a wide range of readers interested in the problems of power and elites.
